Broome County Executive Barbara Fiala Friday announced the promotion of Darcy Fauci to the county’s economic development director post. She had served as an executive assistant in the Fiala administration since 2005.

In the executive’s office, Fauci was responsible for community and media relations. She was also involved in a number of county projects including the shared services and consolidation initiatives, the county’s Flood Task Force and the planning and executive of the county’s bicentennial events.

Most recently she has been working with James DiMascio and the Greater Binghamton Coalition on several county executive strategies for Greater Binghamton.
