OGS to award over $990,000 in new construction contracts

File may take time to start streaming on slower Internet connections

New York State Office of General Services Commissioner Daniel Hogan Thursday announced the awarding of bids for seven contracts representing more than $990,000 in new construction, providing work in five counties of New York.

The contracts are expected to be awarded to the apparent low bidders following the normal process of review and approval by the State Comptroller's Office. All of the low bidders are New York State firms.

FRANKLIN COUNTY

A plumbing contract to rehabilitate the showers in Building Nos. 37 and 40 at Camp Gabriels in Gabriels, NY was bid by five firms. Of those five, L. H. LaPlante Company, Inc. of Plattsburgh, NY was the apparent low bidder with a bid of $77,000.

ONEIDA COUNTY

Electrical, heating and ventilation contracts were bid to replace the boilers at the State Armory in Utica, NY.

Electrical: Richard E. Alexander Co., Inc. of Marcy, NY was the apparent low bidder out of six firms. The low bid was $12,480.

Heating and Ventilation: H.J. Brandeles Corp. of Utica, NY was the apparent low bidder out of three firms. The low bid was $251,000.

SENECA COUNTY

Construction and plumbing contracts were bid to remove and replace the tile floor and replace plumbing components for Building No. 136, Willard Drug Treatment Center in Willard, NY.

Construction: C&S Technical Resources, Inc. of Syracuse, NY was the apparent low bidder out of four firms. The low bid was $280,626.

Plumbing: HMI Mechanical Systems, Inc. of Lyons, NY was the apparent low bidder out of seven firms. The low bid was $24,850.

SULLIVAN COUNTY

A construction contract to install security bars, Building No. 3 'e' block, north and south, at Sullivan Correctional Facility in Fallsburg, NY was bid by seven firms. Of those seven, American Jail Products, LLC of Troy, NY was the apparent low bidder with a bid of $185,900.

TOMPKINS COUNTY

A construction contract to replace the roof on the Administration Building at the MacCormick Secure Center in Brooktondale, NY was bid by eight firms. Of those eight, WCA Roofing & Sheet Metal Co., Inc. of East Syracuse, NY was the apparent low bidder with a bid of $160,300.
