Scottsdale, Arizona has been named the best city in the country for renters by WalletHub, a personal-finance website. In fact, the site’s top 10 best cities to rent homes includes six Arizona municipalities. In addition to Scottsdale, the following cities from that southwestern state made the list: Chandler, AZ (#3), Tempe, AZ (#4), Gilbert, AZ (#5), Peoria, AZ (#8), and Phoenix, AZ (#9).
In determining which cities are the leading locales for renters, WalletHub analyzed the United States’ 150 largest cities, focusing on jobs availability, cost of living, and rental price changes. Through this data, the site defined their rental attractiveness and quality of life.
Rounding out the best of the best are: Overland Park, KS in the number two slot; Plano, TX in sixth place; Las Vegas, NV in lucky number seven; and Tampa, FL…If you’re wondering where New York City fell on the list, well, it fell hard – and came in at number 148.
