“Dr. Cheek comes to the RF with nearly 20 years of senior experience in research administration, making him an ideal partner for SUNY as we continue to build a system-wide research portfolio that answers society’s highest needs and greatest challenges,” said SUNY Chancellor Nancy L. Zimpher. “I am confident that Dr. Cheek is the right leader at precisely the right time for the RF, and I look forward to working with him.”

Dr. Cheek said, “I want to thank the RF Board of Directors, Chancellor Zimpher and Provost Cartwright for the opportunity to serve as President of the Research Foundation for SUNY. I am honored to have the chance to support SUNY’s research priorities and faculty scholars across the system.”
